As the Deputy Attorney General for Legal Policy and Governmental Affairs under former Colorado Attorney General John Suthers, Geoff addressed cases and issues of public import, including challenging Obamacare, defending school funding (Lobato v. Ritter) and TABOR, fixing Colorado’s conservation easement system, and implementing medical marijuana regulations. He also lobbied the Colorado General Assembly and was the liaison to state agencies, including the Governor, Secretary of State and Treasurer on behalf of General Suthers. Through his public service and as the executive director of state government relations for a global financial services firm, Geoff has developed relationships in state attorneys general offices throughout the United States. Geoff’s practice focuses on business litigation, government investigations, public-policy litigation, campaign finance, and attorney general government relations. Geoff received his Bachelor’s degree from Princeton University, his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a M.A. in Health Care Ethics and the Law from the Victorian University of Manchester (England). Geoff also serves on the City Council of Castle Pines.
